Regional Models Win At Competition Three models from the region earned recognition at the International Modeling and Talent Association that concluded in Los Angeles. Diane Dick Legend's models McCall Kjerstad and Taylor Greene and Kaede O'Hair brought home prestigious awards. IMTA is the most prestigious association of modeling and talent training centers in the world. IMTA produces two annual conventions where models, actors, singers and dancers showcase their potential in front of agents, managers and casting directors ever assembled, Since 1987, IMTA debuted a large number of modeling and talent stars who are working in the fashion and entertainment industry, including Ashton Kutcher, Eva Longoria and Katie Holmes. IMTA began 2012 with some great highlights. Kjerstad, who is an Amarillo native, competed in and won first runner-up in Commercial Print, top ten in Jeans, Makeup, Swimwear and won top ten Female Model of the Year in her division. She was also chosen out of hundreds of other female models to walk the runway show choreographed by Michael Maddox, famous runway coach of many top models including Victoria's Secret's runway models. Kjerstad has just signed a modeling contract with Page Parkes Management out of Dallas, Miami and Houston and will be traveling to start her modeling soon. Taylor Greene, who is from Hereford, competed in and won first runner-up in Commercial Print, second runner up in Fashion Print, top ten in Jeans, Runway and Swimwear. Taylor also won the entire division of Makeup and was third runner up for Junior Miss Model of the Year in her division. She will be signing a modeling contract with LA Models and will be traveling to Los Angeles over spring break to start her modeling career. Kaede O'Hair, who is from Elkhart, Ks, traveled to IMTA and caught the attention of talent agents. Kaede also won top ten in the Jeans Competition for her division. | Many beautiful and talented people from throughout the United State, Europe, Asia and Canada gathered in Los Angeles at the Westin Bonaventure for the semi-annual International Modeling and Talent Association's event. IMTA is an organization comprised of leading modeling/talent training centers and agencies engaged in the professional promotion of the fashion and talent industry. More than 300 top fashion and talent agents, casting directors and industry professionals participated as judges and scouts in the action-packed, week-long, international event. Men, women and children of all ages competed on the modeling runway in high fashion, casual wear and swimwear while actors performed monologues, cold reads, entertainment host and sitcom scenes and TV commercials. Singers and dancers were showcased, and all participants atended educational workshops and seminars presented by industry experts. The exciting week culminated with the award events at which the agents, educational institutions and VIP's in attendance presented competition winners with trophies, cash prizes and scholarships for outstanding performances.
